Rod of Asclepius Demo

About Demo

Demo contains the Prologue of Rod of Asclepius. It is a self-contained introduction that teaches the core systems in a focused, atmospheric setting.

Included in Demo

  • Narrative-driven mission that blends environmental exploration, herb gathering, character interaction, and historically inspired medical quests.

  • Guided introductions to investigation, diagnosis, and treatment within the game’s turn-based medical framework.

  • A standalone story that establishes the themes, tone, and play style of the full game.

Important note

The Demo does not take place in Pannonia. It prepares the stage for Chapter One, where the full campaign begins in Pannonia Secunda (AD 351) along the Danubian frontier.

About the full game

The campaign traces historical Roman settlements such as Teutoburgium (Dalj) and Mursa (Osijek), reconstructed from archaeological maps, regional studies, and museum documentation. The project draws on sources including Celsus, Galen, the Notitia Dignitatum, and regional publications, in consultation with scholars to ensure cultural and linguistic accuracy.
